My art is broad in range and rooted to the present. I approach art instinctively and directly, processing thoughts and developing subjective imagery through the immediate act of painting. Alternating within and between the elements of abstraction and figuration, my work explores the visual impact of line and the interactive effects and sensory implications of form and color - I seek to capture a state of presence and integral energy that rouses attention and summons reflection. By speaking to the sensibility of life and the complexities of the natural world, my work ponders the human condition - past and present - as the ceaseless flow of force and form.
